Harbor IT is proud to share that CEO and Founder Johnny Lieberman has been named a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 New York Award
by Ernst & Young LLP.
Now in its 41st year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program recognizes leaders who are driving innovation, building high-growth companies, and creating lasting impact across industries. Johnny was selected by an independent panel of judges based on his entrepreneurial vision, company growth, and long-term value creation.
Building Harbor Differently
From the beginning, Johnny set out to build Harbor IT with a fundamentally different approach.
Rather than following the traditional managed services model, Harbor was designed as a fully integrated, cyber-first platform. Purpose-built to serve organizations operating in complex, critical, and compliance-driven environments.
Today, Harbor IT delivers integrated IT, cybersecurity and cloud solutions to organizations where downtime, disruption, or risk is not an option—spanning industries like private equity, healthcare, and critical infrastructure.
Under Johnny’s leadership, Harbor has grown into a national platform with:
- A unified operating model across all acquired companies
- A U.S.-based Security Operations Center (SOC)
- A proprietary MXDR platform
- Nearly 400 employees supporting clients across the US
A Mission Focused on the Hardest Problems
At the core of Harbor’s growth is a clear philosophy: go where it’s hardest.
Johnny has consistently led Harbor toward environments that many providers avoid—multi-site healthcare systems, manufacturing organizations with OT complexity, and private equity-backed companies navigating rapid transformation.
“We set out to build Harbor differently… cyber-first, focused on the customers that are hardest to serve… Our mission hasn’t changed: go where it’s hardest. If we can solve those problems, we can solve anything.”
– Johnny Lieberman | CEO of Harbor IT
This approach has shaped Harbor into a partner organizations rely on not just for IT support, but for risk reduction, operational resilience, and long-term value creation.
Recognizing Leadership and Impact
Johnny joins a select group of finalists across New York and Connecticut, representing leaders who are shaping the future of their industries and driving meaningful economic impact.
Regional award winners will be announced in June, with finalists advancing to national consideration later this year.
Looking Ahead
This recognition reflects more than individual achievement—it highlights the strength of Harbor IT’s platform, team, and mission.
As Harbor continues to grow, the focus remains the same:
deliver cyber-first solutions for organizations that can’t afford failure—and build a company capable of solving the hardest problems in IT and cybersecurity.
